New board to the rescue.
Had a request from a friend to look at his Samsung S42AX TV that had no display Narrowed down issue to main board. Now there was chance I could repair the board, but a replacement would be more certain. Opted for the replacement since parts could not be sourced locally, and I did not have the required programmer to troubleshoot suspected component on the main board. There was also damaged component on the logic board. Received main board a few days later. Fixed logic board as well. Unit now working.
